Class A CDL Driver/Salesman

The Driver/Salesman is an important part of maximizing sales and distribution of all malt beverage, spirit and non-alcohol products and packages within each account in order to achieve or exceed the sales team objectives. This position is directly responsible to ensure the reliable and efficient sales, delivery and effective merchandising, servicing and developing of assigned accounts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maximize sales and distribution of all malt beverage, spirit and non-alcohol products and packages within each account
through established Company sales methods.
• All malt beverage, spirit and non-alcohol products are handled effectively and efficiently.
• All malt beverage, spirit and non-alcohol products are merchandised effectively and efficiently.
• Accurately and legibly performs the route administrative procedures.
• Vehicle is properly prepared for daily delivery in accordance with established Company policy.
• Operates all Company vehicles in a safe, courteous manner and obeys all traffic regulations and Company safety policies.
• Demonstrates effective customer service skills.
• Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.
• Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Actively supports the Company’s mission and vision.

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to read and count accurately and do simple math.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
• Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform arithmetical calculations to balance cash/checks accurately read and figure code dates, and count product.

Skills:

Physical Demands:
• Must regularly lift over 70 lbs. and maneuver loaded hand truck (approximately 200 lbs.).

side doors (bay), load and unload products, etc.
• Extensive walking in and out of accounts and riding in vehicle is required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Merchandiser

This position is directly responsible to ensure the efficient and effective merchandising, servicing and developing of assigned accounts Thursday through Monday each week. This position functions under the leadership of the Team Lead.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maximize sales and distribution of all Atlanta Beverage Company products and packages
within each account through established Company sales methods.
• All Atlanta Beverage Company products are handled effectively and efficiently.
• All Atlanta Beverage Company products are merchandised effectively and efficiently.
• Merchandises and stocks all coolers within established Company guidelines.
• Sets up, merchandises and maintains all promotion displays.
• Displays all products by brand, utilizing available point of sale to stimulate sales.
• Effectively demonstrates creativity in merchandising POS in each account.
• Back stock inventory is rotated and moved according to Code Date Book.
• Backroom/cooler area is neat and orderly in customer accounts.
• Vehicle is properly prepared for daily delivery in accordance with established Company policy.
• The vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and organized for daily check-in procedure.
• Operates all Company vehicles in a safe, courteous manner and obeys all traffic regulations and
Company safety policies.
• Demonstrates effective customer service skills.
• Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.
• Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.

Position Requirements:

• A clear motor vehicle record for the past three (3) years.
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• One-year experience in the beer industry preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• A complete understanding of all Company policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
• Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform arithmetical calculations in order to balance cash/checks accurately read and
figure code dates, and count product.

Route Assistant (Driver Helper)

The Route Assistant is an important part of ensuring the proper and efficient merchandising, servicing and developing of assigned accounts in order to achieve or exceed the sales team objectives; and, performs all safety and administrative duties to support the Driver.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure all malt beverage, spirit and non-alcohol products are handled and merchandised
effectively and efficiently.
• Proactively provides support to the Driver in completing daily safety and administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates effective customer service skills.
• Provide assistance to the Driver while on the ground, backing up vehicle in all circumstances.
• Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.
• Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to three months
related experience and/or training, preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• A complete understanding of all Company policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or
oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must regularly lift over 70 lbs. and maneuver loaded hand truck approximately 200 lbs. plus.
• Must be able to maneuver around large trucks, reach, pull, twist, bend and stoop to climb in and
out of cab, raise and lower side doors (bay), load and unload products, etc.

Warehouse Loader

This individual is responsible for operating an electric forklift for the purpose of loading and unloading incoming and outgoing products in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operates an electric forklift in a safe and controlled manner.
• Inspects lift and reports any damage or deficiencies.
• Positions forks, under, over, or around loaded pallets or products and transports load to designated area.
• Accurately loads and unloads all incoming and outgoing products in accordance with code date procedures and load sheets or load diagram, including draft trucks.
• Places empty pallets and cooperage in a designated area in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Places damaged product returns in the designated rework area.
• Assists with overall clean-up of warehouse as required.
• Reports all Company property damage promptly to supervisor.
• Completes all work related paperwork neatly and accurately.
• Employee presents a professional and positive image at all times.
• Treats all customers and fellow employees with dignity and respect.
• All other Warehouse related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.
• Follows the established Company Rotation policy for all products.
• Understands and accurately applies the Code Date book.
• Actively supports the Company’s mission and vision philosophy.
• Attends all required Company meetings.

Education/ Experience

Order Picker

The Order Picker is responsible for picking the orders accurately and efficiently to meet productivity standards, and is accountable for the accuracy of each order they pick. In performing this job, the Order Picker is routed through the Warehouse by computer system using interactive voice picking. The Order Picker operates electric and/or manual warehouse equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Accurately and efficiently picks orders without damaging products. Ensures the correct number and type of product is picked.
     • Safely transports products to designated area for wrapping.
     • Meets or exceeds company standards for productivity.
     • Ensures orders are free of damage.

2. Operates electric or manual warehouse equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
     • Inspects equipment before operating and reports any damage or deficiencies.

3. Places damaged product returns in the designated rework area.

4. Assists with overall clean-up of warehouse as required.

5. Reports all Company property damage promptly to supervisor.

6. Completes all work-related paperwork neatly and accurately.

7. Employee presents a professional and positive image at all times.

8. Treats all customers and fellow employees with dignity and respect.

9. The employee regularly reports to work each day at the scheduled starting time.

10. The employee adheres to the established dress code.
     • Company approved uniforms are neat and clean.
     • Employee is neatly groomed in accordance with Company policy.
     • Company approved shoes are neat and clean.

11. All other Warehouse related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.

12. Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.

Environmental Conditions and Temperaments:
• Job duties are performed inside a warehouse facility with a moderate to loud noise level.
• The employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, outside
weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
• Must present and maintain a positive, professional attitude and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of
employees while performing the duties.
